Dario was the first little one from my best friend that joined our friends group 7 years ago.

Because I adore children I took over the role of ‘sugar uncle’ on my name.

At age 4 Dario unfortunately was hit by a catastrophe.
After a series of studies on a recurring health problem, a malignant tumor was found.
If this diagnosis was not enough misery for them, this was at the very moment when a house was bought for their family.
Because the tumor was quite rare Dario costs were high.
Cancer treatment costs over 20,000 Euro, and even with a hospitalization insurance there were still many bills left. Because you want to spent all time you have left with your sick son, incomes of the parents fall down to a few hundred euro's.

Mainly through the support of friends and acquaintances, they can withstand this difficult period.
As a reward for the perseverance of everyone and the militancy of Dario, he was declared cancer free after this fierce battle, and could the repair period of both physically and financially begin.

As if all this were not enough for this family, after two years cancer free life, a relapse set.
This time it doesn’t look so good because the metastases are too far.
Not that we lose hope, but it looks like it's going to be an intense and exhausting struggle emotionally, physically and financially with no realistic chance of cure.

Dario has as an 7 year old still a lot of dreams and it is ‘our’ goal to get some of those achieved.
One of these dreams is for example to go to Euro Disney with his 2 years younger sister and his parents.
This is a dream that I and my family, and especially my son, wants to complete for him.

To provide some lightening in their worries and complete some dreams we designed this site, where you are free to donate and write your support to the family.

My son has also taken the initiative to sell candy bags to our family, friends and anyone who wants to show to support Dario.
